What is Tai Chi Gung - is it the same as "Tai Chi"?
Tai Chi Gung is not "Tai Chi" which is a derivative of Tai Chi Gung. "Gung" means Temple (or body). Chi is "Life" within all things. Tai Chi addresses "movement" but not the grounding of the body to the earth. The "forms" are a distraction from the simple and most important aspects of Tai Chi Gung - which are 4 simple standing exercises which when done daily have profound effects on your spirit, mind and body. The goal is for the spirit, mind and body to be unified as one.

I started the Tai Chi Gung (TCG) 45 Day Renewal (exercises and disciplines) in September 2021. As of this time I am nearing 30 months completed. I am still doing 45-day renewals which keep me disciplined. I have been getting advanced training to become a certified trainer for over 2 years now. It doesn't take that long - I have started and am going slow. Update July 2024 - Three years in and I am still doing this challenge, day after day and I'm continuing to be more aware of a clear energy flow through my body as was described to me and I now can feel especially (mostly) during my exercises. I can't imagine how I would ever stop doing TCG. It has been such a blessing to me.

Breathing - I have learned to Belly Breathe - I never, ever get out of breath - energy is amazing, mental clarity and peacefulness (consistent)

Sleep - Deep sleep and only 6 hours and ditched my C.P.A.P. machine. Update (3 Years): Fall asleep in 1 to 2 minutes and sleep solid all night.

Weight loss - I have lost over 40 lbs and feel great (I am 6'2" was 238 LBS - now 196 LBS - Update (3 yrs.): Weight still near 196 lbs).

Off all medications - I have gotten off of diabetes type 2 and high blood pressure medications. Update 3 years (still off meds)

Blood sugar much improved (Update (3 yrs.): Control Blood sugar with eating)

Blood Pressure is normal without medication. (BP normal 3 yrs later)

PH Acid/Alkaline levels - Normal range within 3 months (7.0) and staying steady when checked Update: 3 years in Same 7.0 alkalinity test.

I keep getting compliments "You look great, what are you doing?".

Update for most of the past 3 years no pain in my body - only when I eat too much sugar do I get slight temporary discomfort. When I am disciplined with my eating I have no pain in my body all day long and recover overnight from strenuous work or exercise.
